So much for a cohesive , multi-racial society eh? This side of everyone is so scary, like everyone's taking this as an excuse to leash out their perhaps repressed racist tendencies. I don't think this is okay, not even mildly.. It's so ugly what people say, it makes people look ugly , what ugly ugly thoughts. Perhaps it's inevitable you think these things but don't voice them out, seriously, don't you all have friends from this race too? Or colleagues , boyfriends , girlfriend, class mates , even relatives? It is stereotypical and superficial. I saw this on Twitter :
Hey mediacorp good job with this charity! You've now benefited 3 needy families and turned their sons into 7-11 superstars!
That is just, beyond insensitive. It is inhumane, rude, discriminating, incivil, below the belt, fucked up. And I'm not saying this because I'm standing up for my race. I am truly appalled by the tenacity of some people. This is cliche but apart from our races, we are all just human. We're all living on the same piece of island, trying to help each other out and being sensitive to each other is the basis of how we function. Try to help your brother out by not saying anything
